Wednesday nights in July, I'm going to be running a playtest of my best buddy Jen's newest game design - Project Lycra. What's Project Lycra? It's "Grown-Up Masks with Feels". Jen started with the Masks Adult Moves and has created new Team Mechanics as well as a track for confidence vs. trust. Have you ever wanted to play a grown-up superhero using the core concepts of PbtA and Masks inspiration? This just might be your jam! I'll be running the game, and Jen will be playing. Be advised, this game is in an early state of development, so things might change between sessions. Trust me though, she'll be making it more awesome each time. ----------------------------------- This game is part of the ongoing Gauntlet Comics series. Characters and settings created in this miniseries will exist in the Gauntlet Comics canon (and on our wiki) for future miniseries.

Final playtest of Slings & Arrows: Comedy of Errors. I didn't start recording on time, so it starts during the show phase of Act 4, having missed the Act 3 Real Life Phase. The Brewery has a possible savior in Thom. Jane's date has offered to hack into the visiting professor's email. Albert's ex-wife and he got into an argument about their kid taking a flask to school. In the play, The King and Prince Conner (the real one) met. Monica came in and tried to activate his mind control but, since that was Stefan, it didn't work, leaving her confused and unable to give the king the powder she was hoping to give him.

You play teens in New Mexico in 2002. You and your friends deal with problems and relationships, even as the darkness begins to reach into your lives. This is a light-weight PbtA hack drawing basics from Monsterhearts, Hearts of Wulin, and The Veil. This is a playtest, but we’ll mostly be looking at the roughest level: i.e. does it function. In session one we will make up characters and start a scenario we will finish in session two.

It's Christmas in 2004, in the tiny market town of Keythorpe. For the first time since they graduated four years ago, the former members of an after-school roleplay club meet up for a session. After finishing school, Auley stayed behind in Keythorpe to help support his mother, and now spends his days packing boxes on an industrial estate. His best friend Andrew left his university course to take up a position as an account manager with a large telesales firm down in London, and is enjoying the life of a young professional there. Eddy - Edward - works for an advertising firm, and caught a break with a successful campaign for Norwich's leading energy drinks company. Lil dropped off of the face of the earth after school, but a chance encounter brings her back to the group. Joe - who has been away at university - discovered an interesting game with a tragic background at a carboot sale in Coventry, and has invited his former friends around for a game of DIE...
