During the days and months after the death of Emperor Palpatine, hope started to return to the galaxy. It grew in fits and starts, like a sapling planted on rocky ground. In the far reaches of the Outer Rim, a fledging temple grew. The lone Jedi master sent out a group of young padawans in their own ship, with orders to seek out other potential students, others who might be able to understand The Force, who might be tempted by the Dark Side without the proper teaching. And, of course, if the padawans found trouble on those farflung planets, they should seek to bring peace and balance. Padawans in the Vineyard is a loving reskin of D. Vincent Baker's Dogs in the Vineyard RPG.

EDI are handing the sale of the site by Weyland-Yutani and need to confirm that the site conforms to the specification they've been given. This is 2 years after the escape pod from the USS Sulaco crash-landed on Fiorina 161, and the events of 'Alien 3' ... not that the characters know anything about those events, which were covered up by Weyland-Yutani ...

Rich continues his Actual Play of RPGs in a Star Wars anthology series. -------------------------------------- The Empire is falling to pieces across the galaxy and you all have escaped the Star Destroyer where you were stationed. Somehow, you've ended up working on Prospero's Dream. That's correct, our player characters are ex-Imperials. The Rebellion won. You're just trying to survive the aftermath. For this game, I'm using Ghost Orbit to run the module Mothership: A Pound of Flesh. GHOST ORBIT is an analog role-playing game about things breaking in space. You can expect to encounter gross neglect, runaway fires, explosive decompression, labor riots, hostile aliens, and maybe literal ghosts. The players take on the role of IWW Union Spacers trying to survive the day everything went pear-shaped. We play to find out how the spacers survive, and what they lose in the process. Mothership: A Pound of Flesh is a toolkit for building your own run-down, back-water, black market space station. ----------------------------------- This game is part of the ongoing Star Wars Saturdays series. The time setting is the end of Episode VI of the Star Wars movie series (that's Return of the Jedi) when the Empire was in control, Jedi were few and hunted, and the rebellion was growing in fits and starts. Characters and settings created in this miniseries will exist in the SWS canon for future miniseries.

Outscored is a LAOG - a live action online game - by Gerrit Reininghaus. It won a Golden Cobra in 2019. This session was organized through the Gauntlet community's gaming calendar, open to everybody with more than 100 games played per month. Main mechanism: With an online spreadsheet, we control the light colour on our fellow players’ faces: we use the brightness of their screens as the only light source to illuminate their faces in a specific colour. For having this effect, we need to be able to darken completely the room from where we play. We use a second monitor or second device for still being able to see each other. OUTLINE: In a dystopian future, your social score, your Sound, decides about your opportunities in life, your destiny. You and your friends apply for university. There is a perfect course, exactly on the subject you have all been excited about for years and which bonds you together. And it’s a way out of the depressive region / town you are living in. Beside a good application, all it needs to be accepted is a proper citizen-score – when talking about it, it’s often referred to as ‘how sound you are’. Think: credit score, but for behaviour. The general score level of your region is currently deteriorating and some of you might miss the mark. However, you can support each other by up-voting. If only there were enough votes to push everybody over the mark. However, you can down-vote somebody for bad behaviour. Each down-vote earns you one extra up-vote you can spend. So some of you will be outscored and miss a proper score. Or worse: send to correction centre – to be made ‘sound’ again. Demigods - Mayhem on the Moors (3/3)

Alun R facilitates the third of 3 sessions of Demigods (from Jason Mills; currently in Quickstart after a successful kickstarter campaign). Valentin the Arcane is called away by the 'secret society' to which he belongs but the rest of the Weave discover the morally ambiguous reason they have been drawn to Kingsmead-on-the-Moor. After Sophie, the Celestial daughter of Loki impresses Gator the Goblin King, a deal is struck to protect the village. Livia Aurea, the Warrior daughter of Palaestra, employs her gifts to draw both the Jaeger Werewolf Hunt and their intended tourist prey away from Kingsmead, but it sends them all to the Land of Frost. There she holds off Frost Giants while Dave Ngozi Deth the Reaper son of Hel cowes the Hunt so that Gator can lead his goblin horde against them. All the time the mortals applaud what appears the them to be the greatest wrestling show they've ever seen ... before they are swept away to serve Gator in Faery! Unfortunately, the mortal that the Weave were actually summoned to help WANTED to accept the kiss of the werewolf but is thwarted and we end with her, and our Demigods, trapped in the realm of the Frost Giants ... the nemesis that the Fates have decreed for them ...
