In our second session, we spend more time seeing the crew try to come together, clash, and desperately try to reach each other's hearts before the final mission. In this video you get to see the mini-games: LOYALTY MISSION (Only If We Have The Time, Captain), the TRAINING MONTAGE (Only Once Chance To Make It Right), I NEVER DID TRUST YOU, and ONCE MORE INTO THE VOID! We spent way too long per game, we were just enjoying each other's characters and stories way too much. Because of that we ran out of time, and actually went into the final mission having only played 7 games (instead of 13). This means we went into the final mission with less tokens than ideal (we also kept drawing low cards!) sooooooo...I won't spoil it for y'all but it gets intense! Brindlewood Bay is a TTRPG created by Jason Cordova! It's inspired by the tv show Murder, She Wrote but with a sinister and supernatural twist. The game focuses on the Murder Mavens: retired women who love their mystery novels and solve crimes in their cozy bayside town. In this second session we place a second mystery on the board: ALL HALLOWS SCREAM. I played a LOT of NPCs and wowee was it fun! Our Murder Mavens hit the ground running and start meddling and rustling up those clues immediately. Lots of great character moments from all our fantastic players! Children were born happy and some even grew up rich. The Jedi disappeared. The Republic was replaced by the Empire. Then, the Empire fell. Now we've got this. In March and April, I'm running Power Beyond Doubt, a superheroic PbtA game in playtest (written by my buddy Jen Kitzman). In Power Beyond Doubt, the cast plays the adult versions of characters created in the previous Masks series.

Our Reformed builds a beautiful picture of who the enemy are, the Broken pushes as many of the Captain's buttons as possible, our Believer gets a tattoo at the worst place possible, and our Captain keeps their heart close to their chest. After the death of Palpatine, Grand Moff Zsinj was recognized by many as the most powerful of the post-Imperial warlords. In fact, his official title of "Warlord of the Empire" popularized the term "warlord" for the renegades who broke away from the crumbling Empire, when in the initial chaos following the Battle of Endor he proclaimed loyalty to the Empire and used his legal title to foster an appearance of legitimacy. In this two-session series, players are a squad of Ex-Imperial Stormtroopers and their support team, the backbone of the warlord's army fighting to keep control of the Quelii Oversector against other warlords, the forces of the New Republic, and indigenous populaces. We'll deal with the idea of being part of a military force on the other side of "the good guys". Your characters aren't evil, they're caught in the remnants of an Empire that never gave them a choice to be anything other than its soldiers. During character creation, we'll how each PC became a soldier in the Empire, and what they thought when they first heard Palpatine was dead. Are you bad guys? Are you misled? Are you misunderstood? Lincoln told Accalia that they were getting too good at protecting the pack by making other people hurt and that banishing Mateo had led to this. Colt revealed that the dog soldiers smelled like Mateo, but wrong. Lincoln smelled that Accalia was vulnerable and provoked spill. They revealed that they banished Mateo to protect the pack because they thought he was dangerous. They're afraid that they're going to have to kill him. Lincoln revealed that he was afraid that Mateo was dead already. Accalia said they need to go to the military. And Lincoln said he wasn't going alone. Aunt Gert mentioned they wanted picture. Lincoln said the aftermath wasn't going to be fit to print. Then we time skipped to the cookout. And there was a lot of brooding.
