Despite plentiful and abundant Imperial technology, most people continue to live as cogs in the machine of Zsinj's Empire, distracted from their ineffectual lives by slick consumerism and invasive media. New Republic? Never knew you. You're a cyberpunk, a desperate individual with valuable skills, willing to put your life on the line in return for a few thousand credits, reputation, or leverage. This is a session of Bed, Breakfast and Beyond, a one-shot hack of Brindlewood Bay by Alicia Furness and Chris Bisette. It is a PbtA game for two players in which an elderly gay couple investigate a series of mysterious disappearances from their B&B in the New England seaside town of Brindlewood Bay. Sophia is missing and all leads point to a castle in Portugal where famous but reclusive fashion designer Rui Pereira is staging his pre-season show. Christian impersonates a fashion buyer to get the inside track, and an invitation; Dev slips into the comfortable role of bodyguard; and Mick insets himself into the list of accredited journos. There's a show, vampire on vampire friction, and an explosive distraction ... then a dungeon, a rescue attmept and the final parting of fraternal ways ...
